2026 Application FAQs
-
In addition to being part of a passionate and welcoming group of female junior mountain bike racers, KellCat Devo teammates gain access to numerous resources, including personalized mentorship from a professional mountain bike racer, team events, sports psychologist, sports dietician, strength and conditioning coaching, training guidance, and some level of product support and/or discounts as sponsorship dictates.

A submitted application indicates your interested in this team but it is not binding and will not lock you into anything. Completed applications will be reviewed and each applicant will be notified of the organization’s decision regarding their application.

We are seeking athletes that are passionate about mountain biking, positive, exhibit good sportsmanship, and can be impactful in their community. 2025 is our third year as a team, so we are seeking athletes who are willing to help grow the KellCat Devo program and lay a foundation for future racers, as one of the earlier team members.

Great question! We are still refining and renewing our 2025 calendar and sponsorship.
Team KellCat will help you define a strategy for the coming season based on your short term and long term goals. We do encourage our racers to participate in the New England Youth Cycling (NEYC) League season in the Spring, to be an active member of the local racing community. We expect our athletes to attend the Cross Country MTB National Championships, which will be held in Virginia in July 2025.
Members will pay a small refundable team fee. If you meet all of the team requirements at the end of the year, the fee will be returned in full. Additional costs of joining KellCat Devo is commensurate with the level of participation in any mountain bike race season (e.g., registration fees, travel, lodging, bike servicing, equipment & gear). We aim to offset costs (e.g., registration fees, lodging, equipment & gear) based on the team’s grants, donations, and sponsorships.

We do not have strict grade or age range for applicants because we are still evolving as an organization, which means we are open to new experiences. That said, our typical team member is in high school. It’s around this age when team members feel ready and prepared to be role models and leaders in the community, which is an essential part of Team KellCat Devo.
